The Priest of the Most High God

Bible Study - Melchizedek, King of Salem

The name Melchizedek means "king of righteousness"; he is the king of Salem, and Salem is the original Jerusalem; and Melchizedek is the priest of God Most High - he is a worshipper and priest of the true God

Melchizedek serves Abram bread and wine; a future symbol of  the   bread and wine of Passover and the Lord's Table/communion.

Melchizedek, as priest blesses Abram

Psalm 110:4 says that the priesthood of Jesus Christ on the order of Melchizedek

Hebrews 7:3 describes Melchizedek as without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. It is unknown whether he was the pre-incarnate Christ or if his genealogy was just not recorded.

Abram gives to the Lord, through Melchizedek, a tithe of all - one tenth not of his income, but of his assets.

In our covenant love with the Lord we give Him all of ourselves, and He gives us all of Himself. Be overjoyed as you present your tithe to Him!
